Thread regarding Follett layoffs

The A team really?

You may have heard, but the new leadership team (DG, ML, TH etc) calls themselves the A team/players (and not surprisingly the existing Follett team as something less). When I worked at Follett they used to have 360 annual reviews. Based on the effectiveness of that HR process, we should provide feedback on the performance of the management team from your perspective.

This so called A team management lacks any leadership skills. This team remind me of another more appropriate 1980s comedy, Who's The Boss. No leadership, no boss.

You cannot call these people leaders. As many see within the company, many of these new hires within the past year in director positions or better are placeholders. These people have no clue to truly lead the company. Most came from failing businesses and their failures are now seen at Follett. Good luck there.

Hahaha... fix and broke must mean the same at Follett... but then again they say "crap"and "poverty" builds character imagine how much character everyone is building.

Sooner or later they are going to have to face the ugly truth and when reality sets in and the sh*t truly hits the fan... lets see how MLS and her "A"team deal with that...

They stand boldly united against Follett Values. They stand boldly united against legacy employees. The stand boldly united against previous commitments, priorities and goals. They stand boldly united against most things that made Follett a good place to work. I'm not sure what they stand boldly for, however. In summation, this team needs to put on a performance improvement plan.

The arrogance associated with that is breathtaking. Sometimes, just sometimes, I wish I could egg the A-team. Having them coming to the office and being blitzed by someone pelting them with eggs, would make me smile. Very likely counts as assault and worse, but the thought of it make me happy.

C. What are the accomplishments for two years? Cutting employees throughout the company, you can only succeed short term through labor reductions as it eventually impacts the students. Leadership is providing a clear vision and clear strategy. What we have seen is a continuation of the previous leadership initiatives.
