Just wondering what kind of severance package they are doing now? Last year they gave nothing to a ground campus layoff and there was so much vandalism from the disgruntled ex-employees that they ended up costing the company way more than a severance would have so they went back to giving a severance but I wonder how much? And what kind of paperwork did they have you sign? I'm sure there are more layoffs coming so I'm just wondering what I have to expect.

Our campus was shut down couple of years ago. We were dealt with in an extremely professional manner. Everyone received some compensation and emotional support. UOPX did the right thing, no doubt.
Everyone I know that's been laid off received some type of severance package. The package is based on how long you have worked for the company. The most I heard was 6 weeks. The amount depends on your salary. Good to see they are still doing the school thing though.
Ugh...first, a bit of broken windows and a broken gate arm do not make the news. Insurance pays for it. Man if that makes the news in Phoenix, it is a real slow day considering the highway deaths etc. So, that is not a big deal...i though there was some real news...sooo...drums fingers, got anything else?
A ground campus in a southeast state took everyone's badges and walked them out but forgot to open the parking garage gates so someone drove right through it and they had to replace the whole thing which cost thousands and other things were broken in the garage too. There's been vandalism here in Phoenix but they have enough money to keep it out of the media so I'm not surprised you didn't hear about either one. Someone shot at our buildings two separate weekends and they had to replace a bunch of windows. They sent out an email about vandalism but wouldn't even say what it was, if it wasn't for the fact that we came in to shattered windows with bullet holes we wouldn't have known exactly what they were talking about. This never even made it to the local media so just because you didn't hear about it doesn't mean it's not happening. They pay to keep this sort of thing out of the media. They don't want bad press that could affect their stock.
Just laid off last week. They are paying us for 2 weeks and giving 3 weeks pay severance. For those enrolled in a degree program you get one year to complete program with the current educational benefit.
no severance. vandalism? never heard of that...hard to vandalize something when you have been walked out and locked out...details please or random rumor....
