Thread regarding Bank of America layoffs

Ongoing Bank of America Simi Valley Layoffs

Things are getting worse and worse!!! This month we will be cutting another 100 people here in Simi Valley (Legacy Asset Servicing Division). Last year we were hit really hard, almost 300 people was let go here in Simi Valley. Severance is sucky and they are offering career training and some benefits, nothing to be proud off but it's better than nothing. WARN notice was filed back in March, they have to do it 60 days in advance so the layoffs will be taking place also later this month. In addition, our lease (Tapo Canyon Road) is expiring, and will not be renewed. This is a huge hit, we have 4500 folks working in Ventura County and over 3000 in Simi.

If the lease is up in Tapo and they say they aren't renewing it, it might be safe to say that site is about to close... I would think. Have they not told anyone a final day for that site?

The warn notice you see for March is for the ppl who were given noticed in Jan and their last day was in the end of March. I work in the West Hills building. We are waiting to see if they'll be anymore lay offs for our building as well. Our building is closing at the end of April as well. Some of us will be moving to Simi and others to West Lake, but we all haven't gotten move dates yet and it's already the 7th. Does anyone know if anything is happening tomorrow? It's Wednesday and our pay week, which seems to be when lay offs happen.

I don't see the warn notice you're re referring to. And your time line doesn't seem to make sense.
