The last announcement said the two new VP's were replacements for old VP's that were laid off. Looks like ML is learning what we in the business already knew - the new IT was not working. Failed POS, ecommerce and on and on.

Not long after SS was hired he was overheard bemoaning to another senior vp about the burden of his million dollar mortgage. Ah, the burdens of the CIO. Let’s lay off more of the little people struggling to pay for their medical insurance so our bonuses are bigger. LIVE THE VALUES! That house.
The blame squarely sits at the feet of SS, MLS, Infosys and to a lessor extent TCS. Enough is enough, it is a failure plain and simple.
Blaming the vendor is always the path taken by those that mismanaged the process and engagement.
Who selected the vendor? Was it based on a solid evaluation methodology executed by an experienced
and qualified team? Who managed the engagements to make sure there were clear requirements? Who
provided the oversight to make sure the deliverables were done on time and met expectations? Who is
accountable for all this?
With the failure of Retalon, ORPOS and eFollett - why is Infosys still in the building?
I haven't heard about the house.
Um, a success? How about the nice house he bought.
If I were the other two old leadership vp's I would be looking over my shoulder.
New CIO started two years ago. Can anyone point to a single success? Everything has failed.
They went to pursue other opportunities!!!!!! Kind of ironic they had replacements lined up for them already even before they gave notice. They were shown the door. Don't forget VP's get special treatment for layoffs, where as the common folks get escorted out and not allowed to even go back to their desk.
CD and TD.
Who * left voluntarily?*
The old vps weren't laid off. They left voluntarily. It says so in the article on link!
You have short memories. Previous IT systems were shit that took years to work out the bugs.
Not to mention how suddenly none of the tech seems to work. POS systems that open on the first try? I wish! Forget getting to work early just to make sure you open on time, now if you don't you wont have that 30 minutes on the phone with PSC trying to solve software errors that keep happening day after day after day!
Or other staff who have failed risk audits at other companies who will cause Follett to fail. You can just see the incompetence in these individuals who try to walk the walk.
If ORPOS (or renamed CORPOS) is failing, why lay off people that know the old system and how it connects to all of the other crazy Follett systems? New POS hasn't worked right since day one, so their solution is to get rid of anyone who understands systems and hired their past retail friends. Lay off one, hire two.... Yes, that new math works just fine. Keep cutting at the bottom to add to the top, that must be new geometry.
So, the solution is to hire a dozen new VP's from failing businesses?
