instrument repair and calibration- Houston. flat rate- not too quick on t/a -- but good w/ rep and cal. beats everyone-- including the mfg-- cust service experience great... I have had MANY sent to them and they did well...
where do I send the Viatran xmitters to for repair and calibration? I have several and they are telling me to "send them out- no new will be purchased". OEM too heavy on t/a time and always "in-op- scrap buy new, upgrade etc.." have budget need source for repair/cal in around Houston area.... any suggestions?
Mike Tumlinson should be out bidding jobs / finding jobs, but I always seen him in the yard. Can't find anything there dummy. Let him go and have someone else do his job. We had / have 6 engineers in cement...... They only need 2 or 3 tops.
I think we are about to get hit bad in frac. I heard cement got nailed pretty hard already. I wished they would get rid of all these engineers we have sitting around here. That's big $$.
"If you make it til the end of April, you're in the clear"? Wishfull thinking? Sarcasm? If you make it til the end of April 2016, you aren't in the clear. Just lucky. When BHI and HAL merge, thousands will be booted just to cut redundancies. That's assuming the market comes back. BHI has roughly the same number of properties as HAL. Thousands. HAL won't need two of everything. Expect around 2,000 sites to close. Don't have the work, don't need the properties, don't need the people.
I think if your badge works you should consider yourself lucky! Nobody on this site knows WHEN layoffs are. They just post after the fact. So, if you're still working and your badge works...keep your head down and your nose clean and spread as much positivity as possbile! If you make it to the end of the month of April, you're in the clear.
management has seemed to hijack this thread. "Caldwell has a good amount of work and the company is concentrating on performing quality work for the customers." really?
The yard hasn't been shut down, but there have been plenty of layoff's in Caldwell. Folks are quitting as well, so chalk those up as layoffs if you want. Those quitting most likely wouldn't have left if the market wasn't the way it was. All we can do is hope we make it through the cuts.
Not many layoff's? Where do you work?
There has not been many layoffs in Caldwell. Caldwell has a good amount of work and the company is concentrating on preforming quality work for the customers.
