I'm just waiting for layoffs to happen... enrollments are so low that we are being FORCED to push for referrals from students. It's so gross and sales-y. Everyone hates it. Everyday we are hounded and questioned about how many referrals we have. Who knew that part of my job would also be marketing/recruiting new students for this place.

@ the loser who says he works for us whiners: you sound exactly like the status quo of employees here. Let me guess, you got your edjumacashon from UOPX and actually think you are educated now? LOL. All my coworkers who went to UOPX are some of the dumbest people I've met. You all stay here years because guess what? You will never be hired anywhere else with your worthless degrees. This is as good as it gets for you. Those of us with real degrees from legit universities are the ones who see this company for what it truly is. I feel bad for you.
Did you not read my post? we don't just have to ask for referrals we also have to start at least one student a month so yes we do have to recruit. Students are supposed to be recruited by the used car salesmen/enrollment that were hired to do so and I shouldn't be doing their job on top of getting yelled at all day because of the lies that those salesmen feed them. I'm definitely resigning because I don't get paid enough to do their job and mine. They make the big bucks to sell and until they match our salaries to do both I shouldn't have to do both.
Please...being made to ask for referrals. Oh too bad for you. Resign if you don't like your job. This is not recruiting. Until now did you think the students came to you by magic? Good grief.
Many of you will be sent to the unemoyment office in April, mostly managers in academics and finance and this came from a meeting with Slotow.

I'm in finance and now we're being required to ask for referrals and start one student a month and I hate every moment of it! I did not sign up to be in sales. Academics is being required to ask for referrals too, I don't know if they have to start a student every month too but it's bullshit to add that to an already very full plate! I don't get paid enough to have to sell for them. I'm looking and applying for jobs so I can get the hell out of here as soon as possible! The pressure and stress that we are always under is not worth what they pay me, not at all.

You do whatever it takes to make the company successful. In turn, the company pays you. It's simple.
What did you sign up for? You are telling us that you are recruiting even though you did not expect to recruit? It does not make sense?
