Yep, I was let go today in Huntsville also. It is a shame to see some of the worthless people still there. Now I don't have to worry about being laid off. I have an interview for a new job friday morning.
Here's a corker,I am one of the ones that took the "Separation Package" that we were not forced to take, however, if you didn't take it and there was "another reduction in labor" you would not receive such a generous package.
I figured I would be laid off due to the fact that I'm not a favorite, just a very good dependable worker that knows the job well. Weatherford has hired manager after manager in our field and allowed them to do reviews for everyone that works under them, they know nothing of our history and if you stand up to them they give a very bad review and corporate accepts this. I'm not resting in peace yet but it's not so bad, hope I don't go to the poor house, I had planned to work a few years longer. I miss most of the people I've worked with for the past several years and some I've worked with for a short time, that is what I will miss most of all.

Well they just let this DAMN GOOD employee go! Funny though, they said it was because of the recent oil industry crisis. When I asked them why me.. their reply.... they were going by folks time, work ethic and performance. BULLSHIT!!! I have more knowledge in the department that I work than the Foreman or a couple of leads. I don't call out every Monday or Friday because my son in soccer.. or for any other reason like others have.. I have never been written up, I have gotten exceeds on job performances and I for sure have NEVER EVER told a lead NO when they have asked me to do something, I have worked both day and night shift - because they asked me to and most of all I was dedicated. They laid me off because I have an opinion. I complain too much. I complained when folks are doing things to HURT the company! But oh well.. they will see that SOME of the sorry ass people they have left will continue to run this so called company into the ground for their lack of CARING and sense of urgency!! Well the only left to say is... your gonna miss me! BYE FELICIAs
