Thread regarding Follett layoffs

I'm exhausted

The discussions and speculation for the past two years have been draining. The building anxiety has been gut-wrenching. Even if I don't get laid off soon, I'm pretty certain that I'm done with this company. This has just played out in such a weird way that makes me feel like I have zero value despite years of strong contributions and recognition for my work. Is this a psychological game? I deserve better. I am valuable.

Yep me too, about 70% now. Just not worth it.

I decided that the changes in benefits need to be offset by a better work/life balance. I no longer put in the extra hours of my own time. I still do my job, but I no longer stress about all the stuff that is going wrong. Not my problem.

I've been there with you too. My response was to just tell myself that I would not give 110% if I didn't think it'd be appreciated. Arrogant and entitled? Probably. But it was that or take up drinking or some other destructive way of letting the stress out. Just enough to make sure things keep going and not affect the customer service, but beyond that, a greater focus on work/life balance. The extra hours seemed for naught, so they pretty much ended.
