Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Have layoffs slowed down? Getting ready for another round?

In our camp, since layoffs mid-February, at least as many people have quit as were layed off, and head count continues to decline because morale is very low. But I haven't heard anything about more layoffs. Any word on what to expect from those in-the-know, or those who have been through this before?

With oil prices staying below $50, I am sure they are making a list. Oil price is the metric to watch, up and down, rig count follows along with jobs.

Having been here 30 years I can tell you it's not over. There will continue to be isolated layoffs until the BH merger. Then It will be mass reductions as redundancies are studied. The odds of being here at mid 2016 are the same as playing Russian roulette with 3 rounds in the cylinder. It's only a matter of time till you land on a loaded round.
