Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Are those laid off still having issues with getting HR or Payroll to respond to your questions and provide final documentation and pay?

According to the severance policy (which they will not provide). They have 30 days to respond. If they do not they must pay you $110 per day until they do respond. Had to get an attorney get this information from them. Hire a lawyer, I paid $500 and his advice was well worth it. I still accepted the severance but found out a lot of things they kept quiet. Like the RMA (retirement medical account). But who knows your lawyer may dig up something you can go after them with.

it took them a month to pay me my severance and that was after i called them and asked how long it takes, the HR person when i was laid off said 7 business days from the time they received my paper work that i had to submit. When i called after a whole month not 7 days, the next day i magically got my severance pay. But good news is i got my bonus on time.

When I was first laid off - I had a couple of questions ( HR related) and sent e-mails as directed . I just got responses/ requested info yesterday - a month later. I had another issue yesterday - so I called HR and got a real person ! Issue was resolved in about 15 minutes.
