The calculation for campus closure:

500 or less students, length of lease and profitability. Pretty easy formula. do your math and determine if your resume needs to be on the street.

Teach out could last a year or so just reference Brown Mackie College in Kentucky. They closed campus in January but will be teaching out for at least 12 months. Everyone will be let go except teachers involved and a few admin folks. I called there last week and got the answering machine at 10 am. It's down to teachers unlocking the door.

80617... That makes some sense. I think by good Friday all the cards in the deck will be face up.

The Ai campuses that are closing/going to be taught out.... would this be after the spring or summer class starts?

hmmm, the presidents at Ai Philadelphia and Washington have left in the past few weeks... NYC president is "interim" at Philly, however Philadelphia is a large school, and NYC is a small campus with only 3 programs at the AAS and AOS level- nothing higher, but they do not fall under the "500 students or less", as it fluctuates in the 800-900 range.... However, NYC real estate is a different beast though, and I cant imagine the profitability is there. My guess is that they wanted to save NYC pres. so they axed philly, and transitioned her there to save her when NYC closes
