From what I read on these posts, it's humiliating for many. This shows the decline of corporate America, and the oil patch. "Management" turn into punks, empowered to do the dirty work. They don't trust you, because the Devil knows himself. People are now measurements, because metrics is King. Middle and senior managers are enabled to cut, and tend to lose empathy. They aren't really managers empowered to make decisions. They are puppets of their Lordly executive masters to cut the heads. Execs know better than to do the head chopping themselves. Execs perform expertly - execs keep authority, but push responsibility down the organization. Thus managers get the stress and live with it. Get real, about the industry. Realize that this is about extracting fossil fuels from below the surface. At the end of the day, dust in the wind. A bunch of plumbing, some electronics, and fluid moving machines to push those fossil fluids along. There's a lot more to life, than extracting nasty fluids from below the ground. Here's the big picture. Corporate is like a big TIT. Until you learn to be independent, you will forever remain sucking on it./ And USA oilfield corporate will squeeze every drop out of you for the next few years if you "survive". Understand this: the party is over for a long while. Confidence in sustained high oil prices is down the drain. So, the lucky ones will get terminated soon. Those left behind to stay on the Corporate tit, will suffer. Go find a church and learn how to pray regularly again. Find your soul, love God, yourself and one another. Don't worry. Walk away from consumerism, and find relaxation. Learn how to live again. If not, certain misery ahead.

The only reason Iran turned the valves up was for the USA to give in to their plans for more domestic use nuclear reactors whilst pissing off Israel at the same time! Their not interested in the Saudis only themselves so its a great chess move by them, As for South Korea their one of the worlds most technically advanced producers of nuclear reactors the Saudis are just deflecting their role in this " Honestly world we didn't mean to open the valves" Although we will show some interest to South Korea regarding our domestic nuclear ambitions. Its a game being played at the expense of hard working Oil workers losing their jobs with the CEOs of the big Oil companies happy to play along.I just hope all the skilled men and women find stable jobs after being laid off and if asked back once the game ends tell the company in this case Weatherford to go F%$k Themselves.
No, not to piss off one man. Iran is a big player in this and have been at it with Saudi Arabia for a long time. Now the Obama administration is in talks with Iran over this nuclear deal and now the Saudis have made a deal with South Korea. This is not just about Putin and the world powers don't care about the current US President. How is Saudi working with Obama when they are in talks with their enemy? This is all setting the stage for another war.

Listen you tree hugging hippy I have been sucking this TIT all my life so until an alternative fuel comes along which can do all the things Oil can do it will be king! You may want to eat out of wooden bowls wearing the furs of animals shivering in some cave watching your family circle descend in to a bunch of animals if so go and join such a community. I will if I have to happily wave my son off to fight in a middle east war or go myself if they accept oldies knowing that the end goal is we get to keep some of their Oil and continue in our current lifestyle then so be it.
