Aberdeen is loosing hundreds over the next month. Aberdeen is in consultation phase for layoffs. Fingers crossed.
Yes
ABERDEEN needs to diversify its economy and not depend so much on the oil industry .
It's either unfortunate or part of a grand plan to put a leadership team together none of whom know very much about the oil industry!
ABERDEEN oh ABERDEEN you will be devastated by the many rounds of layoffs coming to you. The layoffs will continue till the end of this year. Your people will scatter to other parts of Great Britain and Europe

Aberdeen is getting hammered all over the place: http://www.thelayoff.com/weatherford-international/post/5699323765456896#comment_form
I'm from Aberdeen. I woke up to it this morning. Perhaps if I'd done more to educate myself then this wouldn't have come as a surprise, indeed I still don't know why I'm surprised, expecting the fog to clear at some point today was foolish.
I really don't understand why the company just didn't try to sell pressure pumping off or even try to let it go or create a spin off company. Either way it's official now that Baker Hughes buying BJ Services was a terrible deal.
It is also a good career learning experience to stay away from drilling and completions services. These are always the first and hardest hit during a slow down.
Sad, it used to be our Jewel in the Crown.
They need to just lay off 100% of pressure pumping right now. It'll happen either way.
Layoffs coming to Houston next week
You mean like with Norway?
How many people are being laid off in BHI plants in Aberdeen?
Come on you got to tell us more than that because yes it could be very important to us all what is happening in ABERDEEN.
Is what is?
