Academics now falls under Operations whose main goal is
to encourage numbers. Academics
care about learning, howevet, the
"New classroom", threat they have aligned campuses to recruit for programs, the lack of real leadership and a sense of purpose
points to the demise of ground campuses. Then there are those
entities outside of the U.S. that have little oversight.

To the person who already wants out after 6 months, I am impressed/saddened that you've already figured out the truth. When I was in your shoes, I was still swigging the kool aid. Then again, those were the days of P2 (Project Progress), when we had the freedom to advise students and we didn't feel pressured to enroll anyone with a pulse. Those were the days!
PLEASE lay me off! Been here 6 months and hate that I'm enrolling people with a 7th grade reading-level. Just found out about PLA.. write an essay and get college credit?! WTF. This COMPANY is such a scam.
@882--I saddled NO ONE with student loan debt. I used to work in academics for this school on Phoenix. This is NOT a real university, and its greed is now at the center of its unravelling. Sit back and enjoy the spectacle.
690- Why would you bother? Unless these guys get a job paying enough to handle 2 mortgages (wherever they live plus all the student debt you saddled them with) it will never get paid off. 70% of the United States is already living paycheck to paycheck, and that is not counting most of them paying anything for student loans. Who actually thought that this was a good and sustainable idea? You know why the debt is 1.3 TRILLION right now? Because 90% who have tried to find a job since the recession in 2000 haven't found jack and the money doesn't exist, and never will exist. The students know it, the president knows it, even the Department of Education knows it. It seems like the only ones who didn't were you poor pawns in the greedy game of musical chairs.
Admittedly there are roughly 10% who are competent instructors at this diploma mill. However, most are not serious academics, but just business 'experts.' If you were so good, you wouldn't be spoon-feeding idiots 10th grade course work.
@ Anonymous82624 #lucky-you
There is a world outside of enrollment and academic operations. Academic affairs is made up of very competent and highly educated professionals who care about students and the quality of degree programs. The term manager and director tells me none of you are academics.
April 15 to 17 my pretties. Don't worry, we have not forgot about you.
that quarter after quarter enrollment declines won't mean massive layoffs eventually? You ARE a Phoenix, and likely an incompetent director/manager.
