I was there and this whole experience with BMC is a joke. ADMISSIONS lied from the beginning, all they care about is #s. None of the credits will transfer to any school. I am in the IT program and all the graduates have gotten $7.55 dollar jobs doing nothing in IT. Career services is pushing call center jobs that you can get with no school. If you try to get answers from anyone it's all a run around with no true answers. This school should be shut down, lies, dishonesty from the staff. Teachers who are not qualified to teach. They try to smooth everything over with free coffee and popcorn.

Anonymous91301 , no disagreement however; when instructors are forced to pass everyone (or most) regardless of student ability then it does become a fault of the school (or business approach n this case). Many instructors will tell you they have been given this type of instruction. While a student may be responsible for their success or failure, it should go without saying that the best student will only be as good as the worst in the class simply because instruction can only go as quickly as the worst can comprehend. Likewise, is the instruction is presented at a standard pace, regardless of comprehension of the worst student, the lesser student will still be passed and it eventually (as it already has) makes the reputation as a "diploma mill" more authentic in the eyes of employers and community.

If at a restaurant and the meal is poorly prepared...you had no part in its preparation. In school however, you ARE the student and you have full control of your success and failure. Not necessarily a good comparison. You earn what YOU learn. I've been in school through several degrees. I pride myself in my grades, others not so much, but they blame the instructor. Hmmmm....I had 100% attendance , turned in assignments, and had no excuses about incomplete assignments. Stop blaming the schools and look at the student. I get a bit cranky when reading this is all the fault of the school. My 2 cents.

It is my understanding that graduation for BMC campuses occurred in June. Are you sure this was a graduation? Can you point us to a link? This had to either be covered in local news (the debacle) or announced at the campus's website (the event).

Typically if I have a bad meal I know after 1 or 2 bites. I don't eat the entire thing and then whine about it.

If you are going to criticize spelling from a BMC grad then maybe, just maybe, the poster made a point without meaning to. If you are an administrator then I would actually look in the mirror. It was a product that you probably passed just to keep the federal dollars coming in. At least the poster had the decency to say something about their thoughts on the business they "purchased a product" from. If you go to a restaurant and the food is prepared poorly you can send it back and the restaurant will not charge you. What's the student (customer) to do here? No way in the world EDMC will refund for a "poorly prepared meal".

I'd like to know from others though, do many feel this way about BMC at other campuses, especially in the communities?

If your here to judge the posts on spelling, shame on you. It's the content shared that's important.

Judging by your spelling and grammar, it sounds like you may have needed a few more semesters!
