Why are they avoiding answering the question about more layoffs by July? I just don't get why they don't just say yes or no.

Sent out my resume to be re-written. Then entire office is chatting about it. When are they going to stop letting students apply here? When are they going to tell us how to proceed with all the people gone? Etc etc. I'm not panicking. Their check cleared just fine today and happy to have it.
They will not say either way, becuase denial of layoffs now would be a future contradiction. At the same rate, they will never come out and say they ARE going to lay people off. Take it as a hint! It WILL happen! Get out now.
