Houma manufacturing was indeed busy and making good profit, when there was an abundance of work. Bernard will close, sell, trade and do not forget LIE. If anyone thinks Houma is safe, you better think twice!

From what I heard they are the single largest manufacturer of cementation products on the globe. But thats just what I heard before I left wft 2 yrs ago.
What is made in Houma? I'm in sales and all jobs down 60 to 70%.
I do not believe Wft can not survive this down turn wo filing bankruptcy.
Houma to ft worth. Really! I think houma sits on about 30 acres, about 250,000 sqft climate controlled building. Alot of equipment. Like a previous post said this place produces. Period. Realistically they have produced about 30-50% more than it was designed for the last few years. According to a few old and current employees the only thing they would like to send (back) to ft worth is the GM!
Houma is a big operation. I don't think there is enough room in FTW. Plus it's one of the better performing facilities or at least I thought it was.
Oh, you crazy troll. If you are really in Fort Worth and have all the answers. What's going to happen to all the people at Northpoint and Direct when they consolidate ? Who will come from Houma? Who will fill the GM position? What does the future hold for me?
I heard houma would be moving to ft. Worth just like the tulsa plant theyre moving here next week
Is this a feeling you have or a rumor you heard? Inquiring minds would like to know.. Could it be a facility shut down?

Yeah.....pretty consistent rumor last few years. Who's buying this week? Downturn aside, Houma manufactures product that makes big $$$ for Weatherford. Ive been there when business is good and that place hums...you know when its break and lunch. They get a bad rep from some of the sales and ops idiots who couldnt manufacture a coconut snowball....Houma is solid. I doubt weatherford would sell it.
Whoop whoop when?
