Btw I had nothing of theirs to return when let go I gave them whatever was issued out to me . Ty for any advise.

Why would someone with 25 years service only get 2 weeks severance pay? Another person 1 year service got 3 months severance pay? Does that make since?

They will send you a final pay statement. In there it will show where your money went. The most went to Tax. Mine was short about 40%. All accounted for. Hope you did not spend it before you got it.

Can't say that you will, but I was laid off Jan 28th, after 42 years, and offered the same package. I received all that was promised including the medical which is now just about up. The only documents I received was the ones that HR gave me at the time I was let go. I also had to call Benefits (who transferred me to payroll) to inquire about a date of payment on the severance. For the medical...I just started claiming and they continued paying. Finally decided I had enough and retired which brought up a whole new set of issues.

The amount in your severance letter would have been taxed as a normal pay check. Mine over 38% gone in taxes.
