In Norway we hear all the rumors, read all head office messages....but nobody has been let go.

Many have been let go in Norway, at least 250, maybe 300 in total.
Labor laws are tight in Norway, but even tighter in Italy.
Absolutely impossible to lay off an Italian employee.
Some Directional Drillers and LWD hands have been sitting in the house for 5 months on full pay.
Don't know what the labor laws are there, but I do know it is generally more difficult to layoff European workers due to higher required severance packages than it is to layoff a U.S. worker.
