If MyWork saves 65 million a year, why end it?

If MyWork saves 65 million a year, why end it? Where are they going to make that amount back? This whole "collaboration face-to-face synergy" excuse doesn't make sense from a revenue/expense standpoint. The prominent guess is that they are passively-aggressively trying to get people to resign, this avoiding severence and taking the savings on salary to offset the increased expense. Anyone?

The haven't ended it, but they have been constantly reducing it for the past couple years with the intention of cutting it by 75-80%. It's been all over the web for at least 2-3 years, and every dept I know that uses it is being hit. Hard. Check Motley Fool, Forbes, etc etc. BAC and Yahoo are being called out for bucking the trend of using telecommuting to advantage. Over the past year, many people with whom I interact have been told to work out of an office and been removed from MW, some with commutes over 90 minutes, only to do their exact same jobs (ie - everything is done by phone anyway).
