Its a sham, international commuters from US, UK, Canada just got moved from the IFS structure to the local pay structure and invariably got a huge increase in pay, and employees from the so called shitty nations affiliated to PRL got a 20% pay-cut. Shite Sperry & shite Halliburton !!

Yes, I agree that Sperry can re-emerge as a better entity after the disconnect from hal. That won't happen overnight and it won't happen unless there are some changes made in attitudes, directions, focus, people skills and the adoption of "new ways and approaches" by some people. There is youth with a sprinkling of guiding talent. The impetus is there. There may be some "rebuilding" which will now have to take place. How do you effectively manage the competing goals of revenue vs sustained quality vs the right innovation. hal got what it wanted, milked it for their benefit and discarded it when done, but that's capitalism and the discussions are in agreement that is the way things are done.
Funny, We got a reminder email about doors being locked. Last time they sent that email was the day before they started laying people off. Sperry is better off with no Halliburton.

I still believe that Sperry will regain its reputation as a technology company after being sold off. Halliburton tainted Sperry. I'll apply for a job at the new Sperry if halliburton lays me off .... Will be good to return to Blue Coveralls
