I think we need more female engineers in Qualcomm. That is the best way to keep the best male engineers in Qualcomm too. Male always try to impress female, any where, any age and in any place. And we should pay the female engineer even higher and make them the best benefits. You keep the lady you keep the man, too easy.

I was so annoyed by that guy asking the stupidest question and wasting valuable Q&A time that I just muted the audio and got some work done. When QCOM is facing the most difficult challenges and all that dude can think of is to put a woman in the exec team, then he needs to work for somebody else...try Obama, not QCOM.

It took 20 years for QC to secure CDMA dominance. How long will it take to secure another business? No other field is going to allow licensing base on end product. What can QC do?

Hard work is not going to help if sr management is clueless on how to remain on the forefront long term. The pointy haired boss of Dilbert is a visionary genius compared to the guy that is running emerging technologies now. If managing the future means cutting all projects that do not lead to roi in 3 years qc is basically doomed. This seems to the agenda of the cfo who almost brought down AM in this way till they got their senses together. They are recovering now and back on track to become leads. OP: yes we need to work hard but more importantly we need senior execs with vision.

Who was that blowhard from the audience grandstanding during the Q&A session? That rambling, pontificating, "pay attention to me" posturing is what is rotting QCOM from the core. That guy should be the first one dismissed to make up for the $2B in lost revenue this quarter.
