6 Short Weeks!

Only 6 short weeks until July 1. This is when the BIG BOOM will happen. It's going to be biggest layoff yet. Kool-Aid drinkers, keep thinking everything is okay. 7/1 is right around the corner. Buckle up and hunker down now.

There will be an adjustment in force because the enrollment number for July will not be met. Since it is the start of the fiscal year, they can shore up reporting by reducing staff and cutting salaries prior to the start of the fiscal year. Now that the campus closings are setting in, it is time to trim the fat at the remains campuses. I expect some programs to be shelved in the near future as well. They are looking at the GAD and fashion retail management as the first to be shelved.

Not in my experience. I went through several rounds and they're usually in September, to adjust after the failures of the first quarter of the new fiscal year.

Big time layoffs and changes. Many folks are "laid off" and it ALWAYS happens the last week in June. Never fails. Do you folk so are employed by EDMC really want to work for them? It's awfully scary to not know who is getting axed next. And they couldn't care less if it affects the employees. When you cease to be a money maker for them, it's your time to go.
