This site is a complete joke. Wait, it is not the site, it is the so called Weatherford employee's that cause this site to be a joke. It no longer is informative about layoffs. It has become a site of talking crap about each other. Calling people out of their name. If anyone tries to be truthful they are "dumbass, lying, etc". If it is stuff people don't want to hear, people say it is management being stupid. I don't understand how people feel this type of stuff is helping hemselves or anyone else. I have friends that were laid off , people that busted their ass for this cmpany and were laid off . Devastated over it. Contemplated taking themselves out cause of self worth, stress and depression. And here you guys are making it nothing but a big joke. Just a shame.

If this is a whistle blowing site then why isn't anything happening to investigate some of the allegations made about management and all the theft going on. I have read several post from current and past employees about theft from management. I have waited patiently to see if anything happens and nothing happens to management but instead the low level honest hardworking ppl are laid off. So now I say to that we'll if WTF doesn't at least give some of these accusations a second thought then why should I care....

Going to Hell really? Think God has more pressing choices to make at the gates? Hi God yes I posted negative remarks on the layoff.com site apart from that God I lived my life trouble free went to church every Sunday raised $1,000s for charity saved a neighbours dog from drowning and generally a good guy. Do you really think he will push me down the Hell Shute for questioning a dumb post on suicidal laid off employees! I too have seen friends go all have since found new employment and moved on from WFT seems you're friends may have had ongoing mental health issues and maybe just the exceptions to the rest of the laid off?

You say you have friends who have contemplated taken their own lives??? Really??? Find this hard to believe did they tell you this or is it just assumptions by you? Maybe you make them feel suicidal as going by you're post you're not exactly the happiest of people.

That's fair. We've all had our ups and downs. I guess if you've done one thing most of your life then it could be stressful or depressing when the field takes a dive. I've worked in 3 completely separate fields so bouncing from one to the next isn't much of a problem. Weatherford/oil services is my third path so bouncing to a previous one wouldn't phase me. That's where I'm heading now actually; I put my resume on the market this morning. It's always easier to find a job while you have a job.
Melodramatic? I know someone to that worked for Weatherford for 15 yrs and all of a sudden they were laid off for no apparent reason. Not early retirement either. No jobsout there for a man his age and what he does. Depression is really really bad. Think its cause he still don't no why he was laid off to begin with. Plus first time he has been with out a Job in so long. It is possible to have thoose thoughts. Seen it first hand.
It's a job, nothing more. Jobs come, jobs go. I have young children so I understand the importance, however suicidal thoughts over losing a job? That's a bit melodramatic in my opinion. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but it's a bit of an overreaction.
It's slightly ironic that this thread is one of those posts that 103088 is complaining about. While not calling someone a "dumbass" overtly, the post is still accomplishing that goal in being directed at the dumbasses posting petty crap here.
With that said, the site wasn't meant for slamming coworkers personally, rather it's meant for whistle blowing. Slamming coworkers is a sure way to get this sight subpoenaed for IP records when someone gets butthurt enough to sue for harassment etc. Stick to blasting the companies that we work for and are screwing us over, rather than blasting each other. We as disgruntled, displeased, and generally unhappy Weatherford employees get more accomplished that way.
