Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

I put in my two week notice and was treated like crap.

It is pretty pathetic that I spent seven years with Baker, found another spot, tried to be professional, and they treated me like I was crap. I think that was the best decision I ever made. Don't bother putting in a two week notice like I did, they will just crap all over you.

I took a job for more money at a company that isn't going under. Why stick around? I'd rather have a job that isn't in jeopardy like that. I didn't want to sit around and wait for them to walk me out and not find a job later on. Imagine when they do mass layoffs, and they will, what the job market will look like.

Reid Hoffman, co-founder and executive chairman of LinkedIn, argues that the relationship between employers and employees is built on "a dishonest conversation." Thanks for the heads up. Good luck with your future endeavor.
