Admissions IS salaried at AI.
Severance is not guarantee, read the handbook. I was hourly when i was laid off.

Nope. That is the whole point of keeping someone hourly, no paid holidays, benefits and expensive severance. The same reason hourly is usually paid more per hour. But if you didn't know that, they probably under bid what you were worth to see if you would take it and you probably did thinking it would lead to full time.
