Hoping I get the axe. Already starting a new job in a couple weeks, would be a sweet severance fueled vacation.
I volunteer as tribute!
Just learned yesterday 6/8 that layoffs at our school were shelved. No further info as to why.
You can take it to the bank. Many of the fools here will tell you countless reasons why it won't happen on the 24th. If you listen to them there's a strong possibility you may be out of a job in three weeks. Take it from someone who knows, I have a heart and don't want to see people struggle especially knowing they're going to lose their jobs. 6-24 is the day, please heed the advice and start looking if you aren't already
The information posted on here always seems to be pretty d--n accurate, I am obviously not as high up as this person, but from what I have seen I do not see a way that layoff/RIFS will not happen. It is just simple logic, money in money out sort of thing.
Thanks for the warning, time for everybody to get their resumes up to date.
So does this mean they are moving on the cut BMC campuses?
June 24 marks to the day the 1 year anniversary when I hot sacked. Last year it was a Thursday . Reality.
6090...those being terminated have already been identified. They do not wait and prep in 48 to 72 hours...it is far more well organized than that.
Get the resume out and LinkedIn updated. Find a new job but don't panic. Just wait and watch the circus clowns do their thing.
Our layoffs happened in a Wednesday, as well. Whomp whomp whomp try again!

EDMC does terminate on Wednesday. They walked entire admissions departments out the door on a Wednesday (the day the teach out was announced). The layoffs at the beginning of the year happened on a Tuesday. People are getting let go the week of the 24th. Some full time faculty for sure.
Hey Anonymous106076 , not all layoffs occur on a Thursday. They occurred last year on 6/24 which was a Tuesday, so you trying to discredit this post by saying such is not correct yourself.
If you are not confident in your job.....or believe you are not meeting expectations of your manager.......then you should leave ANY company. EVERY company I have ever worked for has had layoffs....it is pretty much a part of how businesses operate these days. Why is this such a big deal and newsworthy?
076, the effected parties will be identified by the 24th, and HR will be like a busy bee hive preparing termination letters for distribution on Thursday. Takes time to process laying off a mass of people.....
If you work very close with those making the decisions give us more details. Who is this going to affect? Ground schools? Online? Which departments? How many?
All firings and layoffs take place on Thursdays at EDMC. The 24 is a Wednesday. So right out the gate you've been discredited. Whomp whomp whomp. Try again!
I work very close to those making the decisions. Please take this warning, it will happen. I just can't continue to see people in the dark when it comes to providing for your family. Do yourself a favor and get out now
What is your source of this information or is this just spewing forth information about the layoffs that occurred last year on 6/24?
Thanks for the heads up. I know its coming but everyday I wonder if today is the day.
How exactly did you confirm this information
