You guys complain about outsourcing to China. You would not want the pollution to air and water in your backyard. This is a fair arrangement, we get the cheap products and they get the toxics. Frankly speaking, the slim margin is not worth wrecking the environment.

@106526: the author of that first article doesn't know his geography. The Yangtze does not run through Nanchang. The Gan River flows through Nanchang, and although a tributary of the Yangtze, its waters first flow into Poyang Lake (a natural lake) before draining into the Yangtze through a channel.

Q has over $15+billion overseas (at least, that might even be a low estimate) in reserves that doesn't need to be repatriated back to the U.S. Why do you folks think the Q as a business is in trouble? Kind of funny that the founders also support the Democrats and Obama, that apparently have made such a big deal about corporations leaving $$$$ overseas. Ironic.
Qualcomm is in its most vulnerable position in many years. It has spent much of its cash reserve and taken out substantial loans. Despite massive Stock Buy Back the current stock price is just over 68. The stock has declined about 14% in the last year. Major customers have dumped Snapdragon chips, at least for now. Projected growth for chips is declining. Not a pretty picture.

I don't see this happening. What else would Q do? Also, MediaTek isn't exactly doing well these days too. I've been hearing that they're under considerably much more margin pressures.
maybe JANA wants to get them in a bidding war with Intel. How bout go full tard and sell to Xiaomi. It would own what owns a stake in it, in some convoluted manner.
