BH UK have to consult with the effected persons who are "possibly" being made redundant. I hope that helps Yank :)
By the way i took my redundancy of over 15 years and got another job in a matter of weeks. It was great news for me....
I recommend getting caught is a serious alcohol or drug related problem. Then they can't fire you. You could sue them. They will be forced to keep you and put you through rehab. Hey - it's a strategy.
You UK chaps, your labour laws force companies to give you notice of your individual lay off, yeh? Did BH do that? Got into a discussion with a junior manager here in U.S. Who said "well we can't tell you if your going to be laid off" because I asked "why all the suspense and drama over layoffs?" My answer to his statement was "in the eu aren't they required to give individual employees a heads up, then why can't they here?" His response was "BH didn't do that". So did they tell you individually you'll be laid off in x amount of days?

Just heard they are going to film an episode of Naked and Afraid in Aberdeen.
BHI is a community orientated company. With that in mind it should keep the people who were born and bred in Aberdeen. Let the others go back to their homes and help their communities.
