Remember one thing, QTL revenue is one quarter behind chip sales. 3Q is going to be a steep drop when the slowdown in China catches up in the QC revenue. At that time, directors and VPs will be included in the layoff list.

does Qualcomm need so many VPs/Directors/managers..... that is the key question.....seeing everyone worry about their next review and promotion is a key element of employee frustration..... every task is associated with who will get the credit and who will get better reviews and RSUs....credit hogging is rampant and accountability less..... I think the first people who should be fired are the people in charge of snapdragon 810.... .....there are companies where there is no title involved....managers and employees!!!.....that's it... every one WORKS....even if it is trivial thing...... if something goes wrong the manager is "held" accountable/fired/demoted/re-assigned/made_redundant etc..... the blame cannot be transferred to engineer......this is absent in Qualcomm.....management goes scott free.....

There are many VPs/directors who don't literally don't do anything..... and that is the main problem which the worker bees have which is leading to Qualcomm's decline......

Guess who is laughing all the way to the bank – PJ. S&M wants the job, and so, PJ said fine and gave him the job. Now S&M is feeling the heat on margin and is forced to PIP out people to cut OPEX. PIP out the old timer and bring in more new grads and H1B’s.

Politics is playing a significant role in Performance Reviews at Qualcomm! Part of S & M's strategy to keep RIF's under the radar. PIP's are largely bogus!

How about we spend more time on getting accurate performance reviews and get rid of poor performers across the board?
