Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

there is life after Chevron and it's great

Chevron has been screwing you for years. The state of Texas pays Chevron a major subsidy for everyone the company relocates from California. That's the reason for the accelerated move schedule. Just do a search and see what comes up.

Now it makes sense why Watson chose not to offer any severance if you did not move to Houston.

And don't call what's happening next layoffs. These jobs will never return.

But the good old boys, like Watson and Kirkland, who both recieved raises this year, come out smelling like roses to the shareholders.

The hush hush suicides, heart attacks and breakdowns on the job tell the true story of Chevron.

Not pretty

It's never what you know or what you've done. It's always who you know. And, in times like these, that's not a sure thing, either.

They'll make up any shit possible to deny you a promotion. I've heard some ridiculous ones before. And in person no less. Everyone plays favorites. It's very political. Might as well just go with the flow.

I worked day and night, and took in a lot of projects for ETC. then other people came to me asking to if possible to share some work for them.

They are not intended to help me, they are needing projects to cover their time.

Now, I went to my boss to ask if I can be considered for a promotion. guess what he said, " do you not worry all this, the system is fair., you will have it when time comes." I showed him document about promotion guide, he said all those are simply guideline...

Maybe the company policy is not that bad, but the bottom implementation is off too much :)-

you guys have any experience?
