The blue collar workers will be retained for the most part, but managers will not. With few exceptions, HTC management is pretty much Wirth-less.
Utter rubbish !!! Hal own all, Hall will and have to divest, cut costs, kill overlapping business and personnel !!!!! Goodbye to the majority of BH. It is what it is.
who knows which facilities will remain operational, it all boils down to logistics. Just give them the tool drawings and electrical diagrams for the spec's. and I'm sure they'll figure it out. Its all the same but different.
Have a plan ready just in case
Maybe. Does Halliburton have the capacity just to move all manufacturing to there shop. Maybe now since business is slow. It took 5 years to merge bj and bhi and some systems are still merger but overnight halliburton is going lay off all bhi and run both operations. Give me a break. People are stupid.
Whatever helps you sleep at night. The fact is why not move all manufacturing to Hal then pick about 10% of the bhi staff. They are going to own the process anyway
A decision has been made regarding the economic viability of the this shop, and other shops and yards in Texas. The short term and long term future of these yard and employees will be announced next Friday.
Why would Halliburton close shop? They are not buying b hi to close them down. Oil prices is what is going to dictate what stays open. The 150 bhi facilities that are closing are not being down by Halliburton. This has been bakers plans for a couple of years and the oil prices helped speed up the process

No point in training Hal people, when they have already trained BHI people on tools they are buying. It is simple business decision. Management is a different story.
For how long? I'm thinking manufacturing would only be around long not enough for Halli to learn what it needs, before closing shop.
