As per the email sent last week from corporate, yes, May 1st is the day for "the big announcement".
Spoken like a true BH manager, 96650. Do as little as possible because with each passing day this place is less relevant than the day before.
Nothing. One person starts a rumour to take sadistic pleasure/advantage of peoples insecurity and everyone stresses out expecting armageddon.
There are layoffs ongoing right now around the world (Aldine for sure and Cape Town office suddenly closed last week), so things are not good.
But you never say these being explained or highlighted by management - they want layoffs now to be quiet and unreported.
Nothing will happen on 5/1, rumors only, go to work, do your best, that's it.
