Thread regarding Follett layoffs

To the senior management team that reads this board...

Get off of reading this board and take some positive action... no not by hiring more rejects from yesteryear stores and making the VPs or SVPs... but by actually no listening to your employees that'll have been with the company for more than 5 minutes and seriously reevaluating your 2016 FYI strategy... Retalon and stuff ain't going to work... also evaluate who you have running your department... are they really qualified associates to be in managerial or directorial position... especially if they are always on darn cigarette break when you need them or shopping for shoes and clothes on the internet? Yeah we all know who they are on GT'S team... now let's stop fooling ourselves and pretend everything is peachy or doing stupid things like asking the directors or managers to speak about failures during the town hall meeting... as they say before anyone starts pointing fingers you should take a harsh look at your own actions and issues and then address the real issues at hand .

None of the new leadership, even in finance understand that numbers don't mean much when it is early FY16. Keep sending your statistics etc.

Let's not forget replacement of any decent metrics for review by the automated robot JH (who must be a clone of PD and just as much of a putz) that blindly sends metrics like "YTD Operating Income $ vs Budget $" of -85% when FY16 has just begun. Yes, 'needs improvement' indeed! When Follett bought the Kiva robots, they must've gotten a two for one deal on home office robots to go with the warehouse robots.

"testing", more like screwing it up big time at the store level. Nothing like twice the number of books you need for the summer semester because Retalon added even more to the QTC! What's the point in having CMMs if you're just going to ignore their decision making in favor of more inventory??? Oh wait! The point is to get rid of CMMs! Save $37,000,000 a year just in salary!

They'll likely just keep flogging that dead horse a little while longer. After all, they've just begun Retalon testing in the field stores. Still testing eh? How many years have they been 'testing' it?
