I think you're just jealous that we (engineers) were smart enough to finish school. You probrabaly dropped out the first semester. To difficult for you?
field workers are pests who suck on payroll without rigs. Those who call geoscientist worthless probably dont have high school and are worthless without moving iron. They will be gone friday.
Reply to 96921. Good points, like the 3 day week for engineers. Should get the same output then in 3 days rather than the usual 5 days. But this still doesn't address the point that within BH we have far to many geoscientists and application engineers (all divisions) sitting around all over the world doing nothing, and being rewarded with a handsome salary. Need to reduce head count in these areas urgently, but if BH do not I'm sure Halliburton will weed out these lazy scammers quick enough.
Thats great :) we need more layoffs as its been a while :) . Will be good to see managers and engineers crap for a while. Lets face it , they have not been doing much for the last year or so and still get paid. Get rid of engineers without rigs, clients, or bringing in any work. Stop the new grads from getting employment and downsize offshore staff. Also while you are at it why not reduce working hours for those who you want to keep but cannot afford them. I am sure an engineer could manage a three day week on reduced salary with the amount they earn. Also there are numerous people who want to go on the redundancy package but you have not used????? let them go ....It will save , retain other employees.
How about laying some Geoscientists off? These are the real lazy ones in BH across the world.
