Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Reduction in workforce feedback

How is your layoff experience been? What can we do better for a smooth transition?

Were you given a competitive severance?

Market dictates layoffs and we wish you luck in your career ahead.

Everybody with a lousy attitude please go, don't wait, just leave. Allow the people who do want to stay and enjoy their job to work in peace without having to listen to you wankers.

As manager I always bring the news myself, although a more senior person tells me to reduce I'm the one who has to decide on who, I'm the one who absolutely seriously impact their future, the least I can do is tell them in person, look them in the eyes and feel their pain. This is what a good manager does.

The Executive and HR manager comes into your office to give you the bad news.. While your boss and bosses bos is sitting right across the hall and walk by and smile at you and not say one word... The treatment is horrible.. No notice/warning.. And we are talking about excellent employees being layed off and being told you with is excellent and this has nothing to do with your work habits but solely due to reduction in force due to the oil prices .. Well if that's the case, how could your own boss be so cold as to not even offer a good bye and boss' boss walks by and smiles.. I even said good morning before this happened and was just smiled at .. No response .. It confirms what I have thought all alone and that is managers are unprofessional .. They yell at you and when they realize they were wrong they don't offer an apology but offer an excuse for their behavior .. I have never worked for such an unprofessional group of people in ALL MY LIFE!!!
