Think by the time Chevron gets done and figures out how we're cutting costs oil price will be back up!

New World Order, Elite Plan.
ETC, CBRES, ITC and PRC are targeted for deep cuts. The management will be hit hardest because they are 25-30 PSGs with few skills to transfer
Let's hope so, especially in ETC.
I bet they are already on a list...
Look in OC and at the overpaid contractors. There's your fat. Spread the word.
You people are ridiculous. I've worked for Chevron for 26 years, and you don't have a clue. Anyone can post on this site, write any anonymous comments they wish without foundation. Any job is what you make it and Chevron is one of the best companies to work for. Sounds like we have some dead weight on board with the Chevron welfare recipients. Wish I knew who they were cause I'd fire them.
That's pretty interesting. I always wondered how long the organization would stay decentralized. What about etc, prc and such?
Project Alpha has revealed combining Corporate and upstream. That decision cuts 50% of the jobs.....Upstream is BROKE...
Chevron better figure out that people have to help or they will leave to find an organization that will take the help. I have found that long term Chevron employees don't have the basic skill set to make it outside of Chevron. But there is a wealth of talent at the decade mark and below. This place has CHANGED! Poor leadership is at the crux of all these issues. Oil and Gas is cyclical. When it upticks Chevron will loose the brightest, best and the people that have to help!
It's unfortunate. I try to help....
LOL at ETC! You are correct. Very very few results oriented individuals. ETC is a wasteland. I catch up on my sleep at work. I am on Corporate welfare. I truly am incentivised to not produce. Results=pain in the ass to someone.
In ETC I'm hearing about 18% will come from headcount. Surprised we got it that low. It's about 50-75% fat here.
We can't even fire employees, we have to outsource it! But this is being run by Boston Consulting Group. There are 2 plans. Plan A is going to go through, That being a 25% minimum cut in head count by the end of the year. Plan B will then cut another 25% by the end of 2016.
