LOL. Resume (CV) building. Ridiculous. This will be the last job/company for most that have came from APC. They don't need to CV build - and even if you believe that - do you really think adding CHK to their resume is gonna get them a better job at this point!?! LOL

Realist: Just to clarify: 1. CHK's board of directors recruited Doug away from APC with a large compensation package. APC didn't get rid of Doug. AND APC was furious that Doug left as he was suppose to be the next CEO there! 2. I do agree APC would NEVER be interested acquiring CHK and Doug would NEVER be interested in selling us to them. 3. I too am sick of my coworkers whining about the APC people who have joined us since Doug was recruited to CHK. Read up - all CEOs build teams out of people they know and trust. He's brought people he's worked with and trusts from his years at APC and KM. Its NOT a bad thing nor is it unusual for CEOs to do that. Get over it! Now, back to why this site is here....layoffs? The 5/1 date was bogus and I don't think we will be doing large layoffs anytime soon.

Reality = 95% of the current staff were probably here in 2013 so it can't be forgotten. The former APC people are here - and probably more to come - That's what people need to get over. Move on already - it's old news.

New EVP of exploration is coming from APC. Did it ever occur to you clueless idiot employees of the 2013 Chesapeake that if there was actual talent at CHK Doug would have promote them!?!?!?? The leadership people of the 2013 CHK basically ran our company into virtual bankruptcy!! Do you really think any competent CEO would put the "old 2013 guard" into a new leadership role!?! That would be a HELL NO! Wake up Chesapeake....we needed an infusion from a company that actually is PROFITABLE! Even though I've had trouble admitting it - EVERY person that's came from a APC has brought a level of experience and knowledge that wasn't here prior to their arrival. Time we all just face it. We were ALL living in an AKM fantasy land where the only people that believed we were any good were living within the walls of CHK.
Anadarko will absolutely NOT buy CHK. Anadarko does not want all the mess and all the debt. Besides, APC got rid of Dougie and my contacts at APC say they don't want him back
