May 13th was definitely an axe day in CA
Pittsburgh won't be laying off any time soon. They are in good shape. Lots of work to keep the 195 employees busy for a long time. So the idea that there will be layoffs there is simply absurd. I don't understand why people have to say "they heard". It is only a rumor and just scares people who work there. You know they have been stating there would be layoffs and that Pittsburgh would be closing.
Any idea on what departments will be affected by the May 12th or 13th layoffs. That's the week salary employees get paid...
They want to lower bands because they feel it is a buyers market. All the banks are becoming a more organized crime unit. Not to mention they are outsourcing some jobs to lower bands. The New Ledger system (New BAC) is helping to automate more areas. The new system was told to help break the bank up by the government if needed but it has helped to strengthen the inability to break it up (impossible to fail). The government does not have a clue how well they weaved the internal processing systems seamlessly together. The government never learned their lesson with this deceitful bank
What positions?
Pay week will be it
any senior M D level people getting fired?
May 13 isn't a pay week. It's usually done in a pay week. But maybe they are going to really change things up this time. Big wigs came to town twice in one month. The calm before the storm. There's been rumor of bands being lowered sugnificantly.
