Baker Hughes is a sinking ship, it would be best to get a life boat before they run out. Once they do a mass layoff when the merger is complete, you are competing with your counterparts in the market. I would suggest getting ahead of them.
Considering the acquisition, update your CV/Resume, keep on working and giving it your all, hang tight for possible pick-up and wait and see! Unless, another company offers you what you think your severance/package might be - plus! Keep your eyes and ears 'peeled' for what's going on!
