Thread regarding Baker Hughes Inc. layoffs

Baker Hughes ESPP

I'm interested to see who is doing the ESPP? All indications point towards the deal closing before the end of the year, so why are they even offering this? IS THIS A F***ING JOKE?

How can you guarantee it is closing before the end of the year? Its scheduled and it should but anything can happen to delay the process.

The deal WILL go through before the end of the year. Any money I put into it will be refunded at 0% appreciation, so I still lose out in terms of opportunity cost. I bet you are one of those chumps that leases a v6 mustang and that gets a big tax return from the government thinking you are doing it right.

There's nothing to lose by staying in the ESPP. Your money placed aside for stock purchase gets refunded if the deal closes before 31 Dec. If the deal closes after 31 Dec. and you opt out give up a 15%+ return. You need some basic education in finance Big Mama.
