Are there any layoff or 60 day notices this week? Anyone know who will be the first to go?

348- Wishful thinking. See they will never let these people go, they are someone's friend, someone's pillow partner, or someone's cousin or family member. Those folks aren't going anywhere, it's the lower level employees who actually do work will be the ones to get cut. One hand washes the other, and sorry if yours isn't one of them. While I agree that many senior leaders are overcompensated and need to be cut, I can assure you that it won't happen. Not this time at least.
Hopefully they only let the people go who have useless jobs. (There are quite a few of those)
New law starts next week! That's a sure bet! I doubt EDMC can lie on these new rules. If they do lie then that will be the end for the entire company. DOE and DOJ will cut off the money. So with that said just look at your programs that do not meet the rules and that's probally who is getting the ax soon.
I hope you folks have been cleaning up your resume's while thiings are slow... Look to your left and look to your right, one of the 3 of you will be looking for their next job shortly.
@9319 why are you here if you don't seem interested in finding out more information? Get back to work is easy if your department even has workflow coming in to work on!
See no one can say exactly any details so just get back to work and stop spreading rumors. I guess we will find out this week all the rumors are a lie and we all just need to keep working

@9300 are you a manager? At the center? I have heard from a manager that something will happen, not the exact details just to be prepared.
How does anyone really know this? I have been on here the past year and so many times there has been the talk about "the day" and nothing was done. If management has no word or clue about it how can someone on here start this crazy rumor and get everyone worked up. I'm sure it's some jealous ex employee. Let's just keep grinding people nothing is definite
Oh.. There will definitely be layoffs this week! Everyone's been talking about the 23rd or 24th, with a major focus on the 24th. We will see what everyone has to say on the 25th
