I work in HR and just got out of an HR meeting and tomorrow is going to be horrible. I wish I would have left last week when some of my co-workers left. I'm so ashamed to be working as a HR professional for such a SHADY, SHADY company. They are talking about incredible layoffs tomorrow and all they care is about themselves. They don't care about employees and they certainly don't care about students. GOOD LUCK to everyone tomorrow....

She is only upset and spilling the beans because now she sees the writing on the wall. its no secret HR is ALWAYS on the side of the employer, that is who pays her salary. I am sure she had on remorse giving people the cold job cut when she thought her future was find an dandy. Now that she might know what it feels like suddenly she has empathy? Not really, her posting here is not really news, and the only reason she is doing this is out of spite to here employer. And now she just discovered they are shady? Really? That'll be interesting. If the number to be rif'ed is approx. 30% then they will have to go beyond the center. It'll have to go across the board in some way. Wait and see I guess.
@702 that's definitely what will happen if they do automate. I just want to know what processes they are able to automate. Refunds was always a biggie.
At the center..im hearing unconfirmed..automation goin to eliminate teams. And with the desperation ,these processes are going to rolled wethervthey work or not. And if its campus vue then it probably never work right and will end up being un rolled. Yhen they will have to re hire.
It will be interesting to see which brand is affected the most or if any go unscathed.
Lets focus on tomorrow instead of more troubled coming our way. Isn't tomorrow going to be bad enough?
@672 I am from the center as well and my boss was being odd all day. They didn't deny any of what I said about layoff rumors, just said "don't let it keep you awake tonight".
Marblegate bond position was approx $ 20 million. They were bond holders , they were due to recapture their principal.
I'm concerned that this could lead to bankruptcy and the loss of title IV funding. thoughts?

HR Insider, understood however; the downturn is a result of poor management and faulty approach to building a sustainable business. EDMC is the fault, not the employees who have to suffer the consequences.

I work in HR and TOMORROW will be a GREAT day! I was in the same meeting and all of jobs are secure no one needs to worry at all. In fact maybe raises with our new promotions to SSA's are coming.
