Latest RIF rumor...

RIF coming for people with no degrees or who have recent disciplinary actions, the rumor is a 30 percent reduction . But I don't have any faith in this

I thought that those without degrees were axed a long time ago. What do I know, though? I agree with the poster who said that doing away with grad teams was the worst thing that could ever happen. There is no accountability anymore. One person makes a change without notifying the others and then I look stupid when my student calls in pissed off about changes that I had no idea about.

EM's don't know. Do not believe directors know. All speculation, but downsize will happen. This weeks court ruling on gainful employment is indicator we should be watching. Political stomach for support of for- profits is waning.

Heard from EM it will be in the ballpark of 1,000 dismissed.

If you bought or were given your fake degree from UOP, that of and in itself, should give executives reason enough to can your retarded ass. Managers and directors will be bent over this time. Beahahahahaha.

Academics and finance were already hit hard just before last quarter's earning call. It will be enrollment this time; specifically enrollment at underperforming learning centers (even if the reps at those LCs don't enroll students for that LC) and enrollment teams that are being remote managed. Enrollment reps will be moved to a hub system, similar to ACs and FAs. The biggest of these hubs will be in Phoenix, with a few smaller hubs located at larger learning centers. Low performing centers will be taught out and eventually closed. You have been warned.

So are we saying that 40% of people either don't have a degree or have a written? Management knows something is coming, but they have no idea when or where. If you think about this logically and process of elimination, not saying I know anything. They are going to down size the people that don't make them money. IT, administration, campuses, and upper management. We have been watching them carefully select the ones that have been fired over the past month. Think about this, why pay out severance when they can fire. Enrollment makes the money. I am not saying that people without degrees will not go. It's an easy option, and we know from past experience people with disapinary actions. So to say a 40% reduction is crazy. There would be no one to work with current students. You might as well close the doors.

What I don't understand is how academics and finance continue to be unscathed. Our retention isn't where it should be and it seems the majority of them are beyond lazy. They don't return calls or email messages, constantly say "that isn't my job" and don't have any accountability from their leadership. As long as their NPS results are high, they feel entitled. Moving away from dedicated grad teams was one of the biggest mistakes we have ever made.

Good get it over with. It is all about online if you take the time to listen to the calls. HLC, Dept of Education, and the VA will finish it off.

All of you that post do not take into account growth markets in South America and Asia where there is little or no oversight.

Those of you that whine about this and that or discuss things not pertaining to education should leave now and not let the door hit

your rearend.

On top of that political correctness appears to be the facade UOP hides behind in it's day to day operations while stupidity reigns.

A- no manager would ever confirm anything like that. B- your manager won't know until 5 minutes before you do. You know nothing John Snow.

I heard it's a 40% reduction impacting all levels of enrollment on Monday. People on the chopping block include those on writtens and no degrees. Source: work there and confirmed by manager.
