Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

President Obama - please help us!

Dear President Obama,

If you are listening to the voices in this forum, please help us. Talk some sense into our overpaid executive team and that vampire running JANA. Penalize companies that abandon their U.S. work forces so readily. Set up regulation that would permit some type of class action against negligent management teams forcing poor tech employees to pay for their mistakes while the take home obscene compensation packages. How about promoting laws like those in France, where workers have a year of notice before they can be laid off, vs 60 day WARN regulations? And please stop letting the Chinese government bully American companies by their pirate negotiation tactics. Enough is enough. If they cannot respect our IP, then maybe it's time for some tougher trade laws. Sincerely,

A Concerned American Qualcomm Employee

Obozo could care less.

Unless you want to donate millions of dollars to him.

Then he will show up to your house.

Worse than Bush.

QC tosses a $million in campaign contribution at the president, and he closes the other eye when QC invests millions in Chinese companies and help them with technology, essentially exporting technology and jobs. In fact, he might just accuse you of badmouthing Qualcomm, his buddy.

I agree with everything you're saying brother. But don't expect any help from Obama. You're better off asking your mom and dad. They be more helpful of the situation like this. The government has no control over big business. Laissez-faire I think they call it?

You have got to be kidding. Americans are the ones making it possible for Chinese to acquire all the new technology in such a short time. American business men and American lawyers: Mollenkopf and Aberle, case and point. There is nothing the US president can do or want to, when his campaign contributors are the ones exporting the jobs.
