Intel to buy QCT?

If you look at the earlier postings and news reports about Intel delaying mobile products, it almost makes sense for Intel to scrap their mobile division and just buy QCT. They could buy into the momentum QCT already has in the market. QCT could get access to more advanced process nodes. Qualcomm could focus on QTL profits and spin up a new business. Seems like a winning play from a business point of view!

Jana may like the idea, but the US Government may not. I don't see the Obama administration allowing the deal.

I doubt they would buy an ARM group highly only if they wanted to just shut it down. However with the 810, non custom arm, screwup qcom is no longer a leader so not even worth it
