Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Don't drink the water!

EPA bans use of water tested at 500 and above. Qualcomm tap water tests out at 484. The new "Culligan" faucets test at 484. Filtered water is usually 25 (between 0 and 50). Qualcomm water using the new Culligan is likely at times over the EPA limit. Don't drink the water. You've been warned.

You can buy a water tester on Amazon if you care about yourself. No point in worrying about your job if you aren't healthy.

You're welcome.

Confirmed: The TDS of the filtered water in the rec rooms is the same as tap water.

The Arrowhead water in the meeting rooms is @ 112 ppm.

New filters are just activated charcoal. R.O. units have been removed. IMO, water from the new taps tastes lousy.

I'll make the bold assumption that you're talking about total dissolved solids (TDS) in the water here?

484 ppm < 500 ppm so that's within EPA standards and considered drinkable by our beloved government.

My tap water is @ 485 ppm.

My pool water is @ 207 ppm.

My RO water is @ 29 ppm.

If you actually, really, measured the filtered water @ Q to be @ 484 ppm, i.e. the same as the tap water, it seems to me that the new filters are doing nothing but wasting money. Who in their right mind would do such a thing?

I heard your concerns and apologize for inconvenience.I have instructed our QREF staff to ensure that water quality meets OSHA standards. Please contact your floor admin and he/she will help resolve this issue. I again apologies for this great inconvenience to you. Please contact me directly if this issue remains unresolved as this issue is my top priority- SM

( For your wellness please arrange for your OWN water supply till this issue remains unresolved and please DO NOT use QCOM water supply till that time)

I wouldn't turn it into QREF. Or any complaint for that matter to any person. That's the culture we sit in. Seen too much retaliation for the littlest thang. Probably someone got a promotion for the Culligan deal.

Why this is a big issue?? Did you let QREF so they can rectify this?. For facilities issues you have much easier option that whining here for small stuff ...did you suffer any damage? Did you attempt to rectify the issues?. I don't have any issues with water quality and actually I try to get water from QCOM when I can because I don't trust my apartments supply........GO AWAY from here and call OSHA compliance if you can resolve this issue internally ....this forum is for more important issues within QCOM....
