I strongly urge you Chevron folks to create awareness around this "www.thelayoff.com/chevron" forum / site. Make it public, encourage your folks to participate and bring in objective and yet unfiltered feedback. You will be surprised. So much good energy in this company, yet unleashed energy thanks to our incompetent management. I am not asking to fix the problem, but rather make it visible make it real. Hopefully some smart leaders will read it. Manage and influence upwards, be bold, and be unfiltered. I done my part and I chose to move on regardless if I have a job after this ROM or not. Most likely not. I am the manager who speaks his mind and don't fit in. I never really fit in and that's OK> Chevron never fit in with me but I am in control of my own destiny. I have control :-)

Only believe what your supervisor says? He or she reads from a script.

I am the original poster and I don't fit in and never will. I wonder how I lasted for so long. I personally will be OK and have strong skills and realistic opportunities, so I will be so fine :-)
I am really worried the about the youngsters, 1-5 maybe 10 years, brain washed and not real grounded on what it takes to be competitive. Chevron for sure haven't prepared them to be competitive :-) Those folks are weak and they won't make it outside, period...... read between the lines KIDS
please. this is not ALL real...
there's a lot of misinformation on here. i know this because i have the unfortunate (or fortunate) job of giving some folks the bad news.
This is all real my friend. This will be vindicated when the ROM is being pushed forward. Come back here and read it and it will be like reading a script for the play you are acting out. And to the original poster....if you fit in you better self reflect if you don't fit it you are OK :-).
a lot of this already isn't objective... making this more public / more participation means more trolls, more false information joined with some real stuff. you can't really tell what's real or not.
