I doubt we will have any review cycle for a year or so, another way to cut costs!

Agree. Also an accelerated review cycle gives me the creeps! Never heard of that one before.
I missed my period, so no review, COLA, bonus or RSU for you at this time around.
i dread reviews. end up spending so much writing about crap. total waste of time. once every year is more than enough.
What is the purpose of the accelerated review cycle?massuminf we get 0% bonus and 0 rsu this time.
Also heard they are getting away with matrix and your lead will be your manager and he will conduct this accelerated review cycle...99.99% confirm news.
I heard they are accelerating this review cycle, starting 1st week of Aug and finished by end of Aug. All the manages should already be notified by now.
I guess they need to have the reviews to start filtering people for the next round of layoffs😒
yes, have skipped cycles i think during the recession. we've been through huge layoffs when they sold divisions many years back. not uncharted. it's really not that big of a deal. change is good. if you can't adapt to change, you will have problems. my suggestion is to relax and just go with the flow.
I agree with you fully but I highly doubt this will happen. If they do something like that they will run the risk of more people leaving to other companies and that will impact productivity and product schedules. But yes, that is he fair thing to do.

When there are people being cut, consider keep your job a promotion. It is the new promo.
I think we're in unchartered waters. We've never had such a large layoff and we've never been in this hot water wrto our deliverables. I personally would like to see a 1 year review cycle. And I think that no one should get a raise/bonus/RSU grant this year (including all the executives)
But back to the OP's question, will they even have a review cycle this timemwith all the other issues being handled?
In the past have they ever skipped a review cycle?
how do you feel about one review cycle a year?
Well, yes and no. I think what ends up happening is things get rounded up, so it probably ends up being more than 1/2 of a raise. But regardless, I think it's a huge distraction because the overhead in managers doing reviews twice a year is a major time drain...
True, but they give only half the raises etc. October is the main review cycle usually. They might change that moving forwards maybe.
I'm actually surprised the Q still does 6 month review cycles. The industry norm is now 1 year.
I'll be thankful i still have a job.
