H1B Visas - Fire older US-born workers under the guise of business restructuring and use that cash to bring in 2 or 3 Indian-born workers under the H1B program who will do anything for a chance at the American dream -- work them 12-15 hours a day, 7 days a week. Really makes the bottom-line look good. In the meantime, totally destroy the American fabric of life. Everyone wants a good deal but guess what, it is no longer minimum wage foreign workers building your houses, cutting your lawn, feeding you your fast food. It is now professionals across every industry. Think it won't happen to you? Take a good look in the mirror....
Yup. Buddy of mine got axed after well over 20 years with Cisco. I'd be really interested to see the age of people being let go. Hell, I'd be even more interested to see the age trend across the last 10 years of layoffs. It's a pretty well known thing that you don't have much chance with Cisco past the age of 50. Unless you're at the exectutive level, I suppose.

1 month before RSU vesting on 9/11- Kelly Kramer the CFO didn't want to pay out the vested shares so folks will have 2 weeks to find another job before they officially leave the company. BTW - Kelly Kramer made the entire Finance team come in on a Sunday so she could go on a fishing trip with Chambers!
